Sweet, Sweet Alyssum
 Sweet alyssum (Lobularia maritime) is one of the gardener's most faithful allies, providing welcome year round colour with minimal fuss. Drought tolerant and heat resistant they are ideal subjects for borders, rockeries, hanging baskets and containers. Its masses of honey-scented flowers are available in delicate shades of pink, white, lavender and purple, with copper and apricot shades being recently released.
Alyssum enjoys sun or semi-shade and prefers a rich, very well drained soil. It tolerates light frost and grows ±15cm tall and ±20cm wide.
