Teaches the principles of sound business practice within the landscaping industry. The programme comprehensively deals with business aspects such as marketing, administration, quoting, costing, client consultation and liaison, presentations and relationship building, designs and preparation, dealing with labour and plant material understanding.

This course is going to be run by well known Johannesburg based Horticulturalist Arthur Mennigke. This course enables one to establish a good understanding of the basic horticultural principles to be used in good gardening techniques.

To teach the basics of scale, assisting with creativity on paper. How to work with plant material in your own garden and combinations thereof, applying design principles learnt. To meet other gardeners and therefore share common problems and ideas and to participate in a two-day programme which is fun, interesting and above all informative and applicable to one's own environment.

This programme deals with the practical side of design principles in terms of scale, surveying, and planning. Full-time Course: Run in a friendly and informal manner, three full mornings a week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:00am till 12:30 midday during government school terms (10,5 hours per week). After-hours Course: Every Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm and also the 2nd Saturday of each month during government school terms.
Full-time Course: Based in Eco Park, a delightful conference facility between Pretoria and Centurion, The Irene School of Garden Design offers a comprehensive and enjoyable course in Professional Garden Design in South Africa. This unique course teaches the design process and principles of garden design, as well as plant identification and design.
Garden Design is a multi-disciplinary profession, a combination of science and art, and also requires understanding of good business practice. The highly practical course combines all of this. All students will have an opportunity to be involved in building a show garden once a year.

The Home Expo will be held at Emperors Palace, Centre Court from 29th April to 2nd May 2010.
The Home Expois the place to be for all your home building and remodelling needs.
