This attractive tree has three-lobed leafs that gives a display of colour before being shed. The foliage is 5 - 7cm and, in spring, shinning green.
Acer negundo (Box elder, 8m) is very attractive with sprays of green flowers in spring, before the new leaves appear. These green leaves turn yellow in autumn.
Acer palmatum (Japanese maple, 5m) is a shrub-like tree with lobed leaves that are bronze in spring, light green during summer and red during autumn.
