Planting position: Full sun.
Wind-protected planting spot.
Suitable for all growing areas with adequate watering.
Requires regular summer watering, during dry spells.
Rich, compost-enriched and slightly acidic soil.
Two-weekly applications of liquid fertiliser during flowering period.
Watch out for red spider mite and rust.
Propagate from stem cuttings or early autumn-sown seed.

Sweetly scented, tubular flowers are clustered on tall spikes and available in many different colours and varieties, tall or dwarf and single- or double-petalled.
