Clarkia amoena Satinflower

USA; 50 - 60cm
Planting position: Full sun. Ideal for areas with high winter rainfall.
Requires regular watering during growing season, especially during dry spells. Compost-enriched soil. Watch out for fusarium and snails.
Propagate from autumn-sown (in situ) seed.

The Satinflower has crimson, scarlet, red, rose-pink, pink, white or cerise fowers in winter and early spring. These blooms are colourfully striped and blotched and available in single or double forms.
‘Whitneyi’ has clusters of cone-shaped summer flowers in a wide variety of colours. Its foliage is prominently mid-ribbed, slim and pointy.
