From the centre of this evergreen plant grows a flower spike with white flowers. These winter/spring flowers are completely white except for the golden blotch at the centre of the lip.
C. ochracea is summer flowering when it freely produces blooms of intense fragrance.
C. pandurata needs heat of up to 16°C and a complete rest during winter. Their scented summer flowers are green with black hairs, covering the lip to some extent.
