Planting position: Full sun. Wind-protected areas. Ideal for high rainfall regions. Areas without severe frost. Non-humidity regions.
Requires regular and thorough watering, especially during dry spells. Well-draining sandy loam soil, enriched with compost that is neutral to acidic. Spring and early summer applications of organic fertiliser.
Propagate from semi-softwood cuttings or seed.

E. ardens (25 - 50cm) is compact and bushy with red spring flowers.
E. bauera (1 - 2m) with shades of pink to white flowers during most of the year.
E.blandfordia (25 - 50cm) with grey-green foliage and bright, yellow flowers.
E. blenna (30 - 50cm) stunning with bright orange, green tipped autumn flowers.
E. coccinea (1m) bearing autumn flowers that vary in colour from pale red and tones of yellow.
E. glandulosa (1,5m) with rosy blooms on short terminal spikes most of the year.
E. jasminiflora (50cm) small and elegant with its paired terminal white flowers that are flushed pink, open ‘mouthed’ and red striped. Flowering during summer.
E. patersonia (50cm - 1m) bearing bright yellow, orange lobed winter blooms.
E. perspicua (1m) a tall shrub with pink, white tipped, tubular flowers on spikes.
E. sessiflora (1m) produces winter flowers that are tubular and striking green.
E. vestita (1m) bears winter and spring flowers that are bright crimson coloured.
E. walkeria (50cm - 1m) stunning and bushy with masses of tiny white flowers that are flushed pink.
