Planting position: Full sun or semi-shade. Suitable for most growing regions provided adequate watering.
Requires regular watering, especially during dry weather. Fertile soil. Applications of complete fertiliser, early spring and mid-summer. Watch out for snails, aphids and slugs.
Propagate from late winter division.
This summer flowering, herbaceous perennial bears lily-like orange- and yellow flowers, although flowering starts in winter for warmer regions. The different cultivars are available in shades of burnt-red to orange, some striped, some blotched.
