This plant is popular for its clumps of attractive, purplish-plum leaves. During
spring and early summer, small white, flowers emerge from its maple-like foliage.
H. sanguinea (45cm), known as the Coral bells, it produces long stems with bell-shaped summer flowers in pink, burnt-red or white, emerging from the low clump of attractive, dark green leaves.
