Planting position: Semi-shade to full shade. Wind-protected spot. For areas with high summer rainfall and cold winters. The wall or support structure should ideally be facing south.
Requires regular and thorough watering, especially during dry spells, keeping the soil moist. Well-draining soil, enriched with compost and organic matter. Spring- and autumn mulching. Prune flower stems back after flowering period.
Propagate from summer soft tip cuttings or winter hardwood cuttings.

With the right conditions, this self-clinging climber could be very charming with deciduous leaves serrated and pointed and summer flowers in shades of green and white.
