Iris fulva American swamp iris

Planting position: Shallow water (10cm deep). Wind-protected planting spot. Suitable for all growing regions without hot, humid conditions. Ideal for regions with high summer rainfall. For drier regions adequate watering must be provided.
Requires water.
Propagate from root division.

The water iris has spring flowers of white, yellow, coppery-yellow, blue and red. The evergreen foliage is sword-shaped.
I. kaempferi has many varieties. This perennial water plant has large flowers in shades of blue to purple during spring. Its sword-shaped leaves have prominent mid-ribs.
I. pseudacorus (1m), known as the Yellow flag for its golden spring flowers, appearing many per stem.
