Iris Siberica group

Planting position: Full sun. Wind-protected planting spot. Suitable for all growing regions without hot, humid conditions. Ideal for regions with high summer rainfall. For drier regions adequate watering must be provided.
Requires regular watering during growing season, never allowing soil to dry. Well-draining soil, enriched with well-rotted compost, and lime-free. Late winter application of complete fertiliser.
Propagate from autumn division, or summer-sown seed.

This group of beardless irises have evergreen, upright grass-like foliage and summer flowers. These flowers are usually shades of purple, mauve or light blue, or cream to yellow with brown markings, also crisp white.
I. bulleyana produces blue flowers.
