Planting position: Full sun.

Propagate from spring division.
These charming bulbs bear winter- and spring, bell-shaped flowers from yellow, red
to purple shades. Its leaves are strap-shaped and sometimes streaked purple.
L. aloides has spikes of green, yellow and red flowers.
‘Aurea’ produces golden-yellow flowers.
‘Lutea’ bears bright yellow flowers.
‘Nelsonii’ with striking yellow flowers.
L. bulbiferum has red, purple and yellow flowers of tubular shape.
L. pendula with bright red and green-tipped flowers.
L. purpureo-caerulea has violet-blue flowers.
L. rosea with reddish-pink flowers.
L. unicolour has white flower spikes “bleeding” with pink.
L x Pearsonii’ bears yellow flowers, tipped red and its leaves are spotted with purple.
