Planting and growing requirements: cool, light conditions.

This autumn flowerer produces 2 - 4, sometimes 5, flowers on tall spikes that are quite large, and rich pink or paler pink with the lip and darker tint.
L. cinnabarina wants 13°C and intermediate conditions. Its winter and spring blooms are of striking orange colouring and star-shaped.
L. gouldiana prefers temperatures of between 10 - 13°C and has winter flowers of pinkish-purple.
L. purpurata will be happy in 12°C, grows quite tall and produces its flowers during winter. These have slim petals and sepals that may vary from light purple to white, with a dark purple, frilled lip.
