Himalayas; 50cm - 1m
Planting position: Semi-shade. Wind-protected planting spot. Ideally for areas with cool conditions and high rainfall. Not suited for hot and humid, ot hot and dry areas.
Requires regular watering. Well-mulched, fertile soil. Spring application of complete fertiliser. Watch out for snails, aphids and slugs.
Propagate from winter division or early autumn-sown seed.

This charming plant flowers in late spring and has large oblong leaves. Its beautiful poppy-like flowers are sky-blue with golden anthers and grouped together on long stems.
