Planting position: Full sun (cool areas) or semi-shade (hot areas).
Ideal for areas with high rainfall.
Requires regular, thorough soakings during late winter and early spring.
Well-draining loamy soil enriched with organic matter.

Complete fertiliser or bulb plant food application with first appearance of buds.
Watch out for snails, slugs, narcissus flies, nematodes, virus and basal rot.
Propagate from summer division.
These perennial plants bear clustered or single flowers with six ‘petals’ surrounding
the central cup. Some are trumpet-shaped for instance and the colours vary from
usually golden, yellow and white to cream, red and tones of pink. The varieties can
be divided into 11 divisions according to colour and shape of different Daffodils:
