A small ‘shrubby’ tree with greyish green leaves that is 50cm long, slim and elliptic. The seeds are up to 9cm long, oval and deep blue-green when mature.
Podocarpus falcatus (Outeniqua yellowwood, 40 - 55m) is an attractive evergreen that has dark green foliage, producing both male and female cones.
Podocarpus henkelii (Henkel’s yellowwood, 30m) is a beautiful tree that will grow under many conditions and has little green leaves. Its seeds are round, 1,5cm in diameter, fleshy and dark yellow when mature.
