Rudbeckia bicolor Cone flower

USA; 50 - 75cm
Planting position: Full sun.
Suitable for all growing regions, provided adequate watering.
Requires regular watering, during dry spells especially.
Fertile soil, enriched with compost.
Watch out for fusarium and fungal diseases.
Propagate from spring-sown seed.

The Cone flower produces striking daisy-like flowers and has hairy foliage. The bloom's petals are rich crimson, with yellow tips and brown centres.
R. hirta (50cm) has purple eyed, yellow summer flowers.
R x hybrida (1m) with yellow flowers, each with tan-coloured centres.
