Planting position: Full sun or semi-shade. If in W. Cape, provide protection from wind. Sheltered spot in areas with moderate frost. Areas without severe frost.
Requires regular and thorough watering, especially during dry spells and seasons. Well-draining soil, enriched with compost. Late winter and late summer applications of complete fertiliser. Pruning when needed only.
Propagate from seed or spring semi-hardwood cuttings.

This evergreen is truly stunning with its attractive, glossy and leathery, dark green foliage and pretty flowers. Spring flowers are sweetly scented, waxy white and star-shaped. It's a must for gardens with ideal conditions.
