A charming little tree that produces, prior to the new leaves, beautiful golden trumpet-shaped flowers in spring.
Tabebuia chrysotricha (Yellow trumpet tree, 5m) produces clusters of dark yellow flowers in spring. Dark brown velvety pods, 20cm long, follow the flowering period.
Tabebuia heterophylla (Lilac trumpet tree, 4m) is a lovely little tree with white, light- and darker pink flowers in spring, and with leaves smooth and short.
Tabebuia impetiginosa (Pink trumpet tree, 5m) is a stunning tree covered with light pink, darker pink and purplish pink flowers in spring. When the flowering period starts, it sheds a lot of its foliage.
Tabebuia rosea (Rose trumpet tree, 5m) has seven-leafed, digitate foliage, of which each leaflet is serrated and pointedly ovate. New spring foliage is dark purple with purplish-red stems. The summer flowers are bluish tinted, borne in clusters.
